Rather than a green wash let us give you some facts:
We have reduced our disposables and packaging by 12% this year compared to last. Initiatives such as flow wrap replacing acetate, card sandwich boxes instead of plastic, crockery vending instead of plastic cups, segregated waste bins in seating areas, wormeries for raw food waste to garden compost.
Mellors Catering Services nominated fresh and frozen fish suppliers provide fish products certified by the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC); specifically accredited to suppliers who meet the MSC standard for sustainable and well-managed fisheries.
All frying oil is collected as part of our service from the kitchen by our certificated collection service, the oil recycled for fuel or animal feed.
We welcome recommendations from all parties to improve our performance.

Mellors is the nominated caterer for the Environment Agency in our geographical area.
As part of the criteria to be their chosen caterer, we track meat / dairy / regional fruit and vegetables from the farm to the plate; a maximum of 50 mile travel.
